Riley County Police Department LGBTQ+ Liaisons
The Riley County Police Department has selected two officers as LGBTQ+ liaisons, acting as a bridge between the police and the community, promoting a positive relationship with people in Riley County.
Lieutenant Luke Breault and Officer Rachel Pate will work with members of our community to support and advocate for equality. The LGBTQ+ liaisons are dedicated to increasing public education on hate crimes and public safety.
“It is the goal of this agency to ensure all members of the community are treated fairly,” Lieutenant Luke Breault said. “The liaisons are available to serve as a bridge to all persons especially those who may be the victims of crime.”
Lieutenant Breault and Officer Pate will attend awareness training to expand their role and build a mutual trust between the police department and community groups.
If an individual doesn’t feel comfortable reporting a crime, you can contact one of the liaisons using the information below. We want to make sure your concerns are heard.
The liaisons will attend local support meetings and respond to reports of hate or bias against members of our community. If you would like Lt. Breault and Officer Pate to attend your meeting, please reach out.
