Kate is the longest serving member of the Board, and the only founding member still serving on the Board. Kate is a long-time resident of Manhattan, KS. Previously serving as the FHHRP Secretary and Co-Chair, Kate's term as Chair is Jan. 2019 - Jan. 2020.
Mariya was born and raised in Riley County. She works at K-State as the Assistant Director for K-State First and is the Co-Chair for the on-campus LGBTQ* Faculty and Staff Alliance and member of the Transgender Taskforce. She has served as an At-Large Board Member from Jan. 2017-2019 and will serve as Vice-Chair to Jan. 2020.
Kevin was born and raised in Riley County, and his family history in the area goes back to the 1800s. Kevin is everyone's gay uncle, and is widely involved in the local community. He has served as the FHHRP Treasurer since 2014; his latest term runs through Jan. 2020.
Jerry has lived within the Manhattan community for the past 11 years and currently works at the Hilton Garden Inn & Manhattan Conference Center. He has served FHHRP as an At-Large board member from Jan. 2017-2019 and will serve as Secretary to January 2020.
Rachel recently moved to Kansas in 2017 to work at K-State as a professor in the Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies Department. On-campus they work as Chair of the Queer Studies Committee, Co-Chair of the LGBTQ* Faculty and Staff Alliance, and member of the Transgender Taskforce. They have previous social justice organizing experience with both direct-action coalitions and legislative initiatives. They are excited to serve as an At-Large Board Member for 2019.
